“I chose the field of radiology because I love to help clinicians find the answers they need to best treat their patients. I enjoy the challenge of performing an image-guided procedure accurately and safely, and I find it very satisfying when I can perform a lifesaving procedure.

 

I enjoy every aspect of my specialty – the reading of films, the collaboration with clinicians, the search for answers, the answers to the search, the saving of lives, the saving of limbs, and the treatment of different diseases. The most enjoyable aspect of my specialty is when a surgeon or pathologist confirms what I had diagnosed on imaging. The most gratifying aspect of my profession is when a patient or their family members thank me for saving their lives or saving their family member’s lives or legs.

 

My philosophy/approach to patient care is this: Treat every patient like family. I hope to give patients the answers they are looking for and the relief they need.”
