Frequently Asked Billing Questions

How will I be billed?

Services performed by Fullerton Radiology Medical Group are billed separately from any hospital or facility bill you may have received. In some instances, your entire bill is paid through the facility which then pays FRMG on your behalf, and thus you will not receive a separate bill.

For patients seen up to and including February 29, 2024, billing and collections are processed by CareCloud (TalkPHR). Payments can be made via the TalkPHR Patient Portal. If you have a question about a bill you received please visit the patient portal or call TalkPHR at (866) 592-6822. For prompt service, have your bill, account number and date of service available when you call.

For patient seen on or after March 1, 2024, billing and collections will be processed by MSN Healthcare. Payments can be made via Click2Pay. For questions, please call (800) 475-3698. For best service, have your bill, account number, and date of service available when you call. For any attorney records requests, please visit ChartSwap.

If your billing question is not resolved by calling our billing company, please call FRMG directly at (714) 970-0200. Though we do not have direct access to the billing systems, we can try to work on your behalf and have a billing manager contact you.

Does FRMG accept my insurance?

FRMG accepts essentially all insurance types that are accepted by our affiliated facilities. Insurance information is transmitted directly to our billing partner, so there is no need to directly provide FRMG with your insurance card. However, it may be necessary to provide insurance information to the facility during registration. Please contact each facility directly with any specific questions about insurance or requirements (see Locations page).

How do I provide my insurance information?

Your insurance information, if necessary, will be accepted by the facility performing your examination. Any co-pay will need to be paid at the time of the examination and will be handled by the facility staff. You do not need to provide FRMG with your insurance information directly. Once FRMG receives information of your examination and insurance information from the facility, a bill will be created separate from any facility or hospital bill.

How much does FRMG charge for a certain study?

Each examination or procedure bill is comprised of two components: the technical component, which is billed and collected by the facility, and the professional component which is billed by FRMG.

For any questions regarding the professional component of a procedure, please contact our billing company (For patients seen up to and including February 29, 2024, contact TalkPHR via the Patient Portal; for patients seen on or after March 1, 2024, please contact MSN Healthcare). Charges may vary depending on each facility and examination setting. FRMG does not have any control over the technical component and any questions or concerns should be communicated directly to the facility.

Can I make any payment during my visit?

FRMG is unable to collect payment for examinations or procedures at the time of performing the procedure. Our billing partners receive a summary of each examination or procedure along with insurance information directly from the facilities at a later date, and a bill is then generated. Usually, any bill you receive is your portion of the payment, if any, after your insurance company has paid its portion.
Some facilities and/or insurances require a co-pay which must be paid before the procedure. Some facilities also collect a fee before any imaging procedure.

Why do I have more than one bill for a single study?

If necessary, FRMG bills for the professional component of an examination or procedure separately from the facility fee. In many cases you will receive one bill from the facility and a separate bill from FRMG. For hospitalizations or emergency department visits, you may receive a separate bill from the hospital as well as multiple contracted physician groups.
