High Level Care with a Personal Touch

While providing the advanced care generally expected at large academic medical centers, FRMG doctors strive to provide a more intimate, personalized service of a community business. FRMG physicians treat every patient as they would a family member or close friend. Our goal is to exceed the expectations of our patients and referring doctors by customizing service as needed by the patient instead of dictating a course of action. Ultimately, we hope to provide the most efficient and timely diagnosis and/or treatment for the patient with the least amount of pain and suffering.

For patients, this means listening to the patient’s concerns and working with the patient to not only accomplish their doctor’s goals but also to respect the patient’s wishes. FRMG doctors are available to answer questions about a particular study or procedure a patient is about to undergo and want to make sure a patient is a comfortable as possible with both the plan of care and the examination or procedure itself. After diagnostic studies, FRMG doctors do their best to generate a report for the referring physicians as quickly as possible while devoting the time and attention needed to accurately and expertly interpret each patient’s study. When a radiologist identifies an emergent or unexpected finding that requires immediate or urgent attention, the radiologist will contact the referring provider immediately to notify him or her of the findings and answer any questions. If the patient has questions or concerns about their study or report, FRMG doctors work with the facility’s staff to resolve them as quickly as possible.

For referring physicians, radiologists are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to answer questions about patient reports, the proper studies or procedures for a patient, or for general questions regarding radiology or interventional radiology. During office hours, a radiologist is generally available at each location to answer questions or perform any necessary procedures, and if another specialist is necessary the radiologist at each site will help to contact an appropriate colleague. Reports are generally available within hours if not minutes of a study’s completion. Radiologists are also available to consult with patients regarding procedures, particularly interventional radiology procedures, to answer any questions a patient may have prior to the procedure. When critical findings are made or if an unexpected situation arises that requires immediate attention, radiologists work to contact and communicate directly with referring physicians as quickly as possible.
